Thing #20
I chose G.ho.st. I think I like this sight. I would need to experiment with it more. Some of the things I like were all of my e-mail and Google docs are right there. I have 5gig of storage space and you can add another gig for each person that signs up and gives you as a reference. I can have the same desktop for whichever computer I am using so everything I use is right there. G.ho.st was kind of slow working in Firefox so I had to try it a couple of times to get it to work. Another issue I found was when I was importing e-mail from my gmail account I kept getting a message that it couldn't continue, however once it was finished it worked fine. E-mails can either be imported and taken off of you gmail account or you can leave them. I like this e-mail a little better because I can now keep things in folders with gmail you have to put labels on them. I can also have all of my Google Docs or Zoho docs imported into G.ho.st. I like the idea of having a desktop that is always the same. You can also pull up your Flickr and YouTube accounts very quickly. I can see me using this on different computers because I like the idea of everything available when are where I need it. Some other features right on the desktop are Yahoo News, Google search and tips. There is a button in the bottom left hand corner instead of saying start it just say go and then you get a menu. You can have all of you RSS feeds come directly to your desktop from here. Another feature I like is if you want to go back to using your regular windows just minimize G.ho.st and you are right back where you started. I think this could be a very useful tool.
